Team Members Support Fight Against Breast Cancer

At BreathoftheDragon, Sunfire has generously offered to donate 15% of all sales in her shop during the month of October toward the breast cancer cause. Now is the time to get that clean/dirty magnet you need for your dishwasher, or maybe the one that says "believe" for the fridge. Sunfire has many artful and inspirational items to choose from. Here is her blog post about the fundraising craft fair she hosted in East Wenatchee to support the local Wellness Place.

GlitznGlass has a "Think Pink" section in her shop that she is using to help raise money for the Susan G. Komen Fund. From votive candles with delicately painted glass holders, to jewelry and margarita glasses, I think you will enjoy the selection at GlitznGlass. Click on the photo to go directly to "Think Pink" at GlitznGlass.

Two of our talented jewelry artists are supporting the Susan G. Komen for the Cure cause with gorgeous pink jewelry in thier shops. Both Brenda45 of the Jewelry Box and GeckoJewelry have made a variety of pink jewelry items that will help support the quest for the cure. When you wear them, they can be a reminder of the women who are battling cancer and that they need our support. Gecko's items are clearly marked in her shop. Brenda45 has a "Pink for the Cure Sale" section. The Jewelry Box banner will take you to Brenda45's sale section, and Gecko's bracelett photo will take you directly to that item in Gecko's shop.

Enjoy shopping the team during the month of October and support a worthy cause.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month

I typed this into my Etsy search, "easternwateam breast cancer" and discovered our team members who have posted and tagged their items that will benefit the Susan G. Komen Fund. If there are more of you - and I think there are, please tag at least one of your items with both the "easternwateam" tag and "breast cancer." That way, we can find you and give you recognition.

Sagegold Soaps is having a storewide benefit and donating a portion of all of her bar soap sales. You can find more details in her shop announcement.

Roseworks Jewelry also has a storewide benefit happening as announced on her landing page, and a lovely new pink banner too!

I know Ragnazidnar is busily adding items for both her vegetarian sale and for her Breast Cancer benefit. Here is one of her new pink line that will benefit the fund. Look at Randi's shop announcement and check out her special sections in her store.
(This looks like it might be found at the Runway Renegades Show too.)

Annie Kints also has a special section of pink items to benefit the fund. Here is one. She has a nice variety of items involved, so check out her shop announcement and special section for details.

Studio Cherie has pulled all of the pink items from every section of her shop, and made special pink items (like this bag) for her "Pink for October" section. Shop her special section to benefit the Susan G. Komen Fund.

We will do another search in a few days and add to the list of team members participating in this charity event.

The Burnt Wood Stylings of BreathoftheDragon

Our friend, Sunfire, is one busy lady. She hosts our team pages on facebook, and myspace. She has her own blog. She runs her etsy shop. She is involved in putting together a store in the East Wenatchee Mall that will run from Nov 15th- Dec 28th. As if that were not enough, Sunfire is in charge of the Breast Cancer Awareness Fundraising Craft Bazaar at her local East Wenatchee Safeway. "I figure I have connections, and I'm sure it would look good to the company that I volunteered to help out. "

Maybe she is living by the sayings on her plaques and magnets? I think so.

The Bazaar will be held October 3-5, from 9am to 4pm each day. Spot fees of $30 per day, or $60 for the whole 3 days, will be donated to Breast Cancer Research by Safeway. Sign-up ends Sept 27, and spots will fill up fast! Contact Sunfire@BreathoftheDragon.com with questions or to sign up.

I picked up the hobby of wood burning over the holidays in 2007... something to pass the time. I played around with symbols and patterns, solid designs rather than artwork. My friends and family encouraged me to list some items on Etsy, and in January, I did. I've made 7 sales since then, and I'm making all kinds of connections through the site. I love it!For me, sticking with something can be tough - I'm usually the one that comes up with the ideas and watches as someone else makes them real. It's weird that I'm still coming up with ideas and I'm the one actually making them a reality. It's fun, though, and I am really enjoying all that this adventure entails.Being on teams may not always increase sales, but it sure is nice to connect with others that understand why you would give up on sleep to make "just one more listing" LOL I'm glad to be a part of this team, and I look forward to helping each other out with promotions, advertising, and whatever else we come up with.
I believe her.

I love celtic designs, so I asked her about this one. It is taken from a design found here: The Ultimate Design Book for Crafters (c) 2006 Search Press Ltd. Sunfire said it took 5 or 6 hours to produce this piece. I think it's great.
