it's poppy time!

lily's along the centennial train in spokane, wa.

we took a walk along a part of the centennial trail last night and i noticed something. the gorgeous summer blooms. the poppies were also in full swing and just beautiful. what a great vibrant red they are! the reminded me of this great etsian, becki of empress to design. she has a ton of great little poppy things that are so fitting for the season. her work is very detailed and looks realistic. i was browsing all of the poppy goodness and i can across a dress. i thought "man, i wonder if i can get that to fit ME?" the answer is YES. she is now making an adorable poppy dress for adults.! there is a child version, and let me tell you, it's hard to find "mommy and me" outfits out there that are cute enough to wear. this one does it!

happy first day of summer!

what better to greet summer right at the door than meeting a great etsian!
meet WHIMSYlove. she is a fun quirky etsy goer that is sure to bring you a smile!
whimsylove is from richland wa.

a self description of whimsy love is :
I love using anything vintage. I love finding unusual items to craft with & making stuff from found objects. I prefer faded, worn & loved things. One day I'm a wacky goof ball, the next I am girly romantic. And that reflects in the diversity of items I make.

I have always been a crafty one, making & giving gifts. I can't stick with just one thing, & you'll see my shop is filled with a number of diverse handcrafted items. I love trying everything!

well, you love trying anything, and we love looking at everything! now, shop shop shop!

to go along with the summer theme, meet...

melissa and lisa of borsabella

Located in Wenatchee, the apple capital of the world, Borsa Bella is the wonderful fashion bag company of Melissa Wisen and Lisa Nelson. Melissa and Lisa met about 4 years ago. Both new mothers at the time, they shared quite a few common interests that included a love for beautiful functional purses and handbags.

As avid sewers, they soon started making their own totes and hand bags for family and friends. There was such an overwhelming public interest in their bags, they began designing & sewing bags to sell. This cottage industry has bloomed into a wonderful business. With such an extensive background in fashion and design, they are creating modern hand bags and purses out of the coolest and hip fabrics from around the world. These quality handbags are sure to please.
take a look at these cute bags in their shop!
